What does my makeup have to do with my skincare?

Your makeup is an extension of your skincare. Being aware of all ingredients is very important since some ingredients can undo the hard work you have put into your skincare and possibly damage your health. Talc, methyl, butyl, propyl and ethyl paraben are ingredients of concern.  Just because makeup says it is strictly mineral based, does not mean it doesn’t include these ingredients. These can be found in eye shadows, face powders and long wearing makeup products.

glo•minerals is a 100% mineral based foundation and is committed to using superior pharmaceutical-grade vitamins and minerals. glo products offer many benefits including antioxidants, UVA & UVB sun protection and it’s anti-inflammatory. In addition, this company is cruelty-free and does not test any products on animals. This makeup is highly recommended by our Board Certified Dermatologists and Licensed Estheticians

Growth factors are naturally occurring proteins which have been clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and are essential in rebuilding collagen. Skin Secrets offers two types of skincare lines with growth factors; Neocutis and SkinMedica which both offer lift and fullness. Neocutis is formulated with PSP, a product composed of proteins obtained after cell disruption and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin tone and texture for renewed radiance and enhances skin firmness. SkinMedica is formulated with TNS, which is a mixture of proteins and antioxidants to help enhance and rejuvenate skin.  Just like PSP, TNS is an essential ingredient in rebuilding the skin’s lost collagen. These products have been featured in Elle, Instyle, Self, People, Web MD, The View and The Today Show.
